A surprise in your pocket
You help your neighbour tidy their garden and they give you $40. You have been saving for a small art set that costs $15. You also promised to give $5 to a community food drive. On the way home, you see a new game for $40.
There is no single “perfect” way to use money. The question is: which choice lets you take care of what matters most right now?
Choose a first plan for your $40.
Look for the plan that notices more than one goal. Spending is not automatically bad; every choice has a consequence.

A new fact changes the plan
The next day, your school art club says you need a $10 set of special markers for the project. You have $15 saved. What is a reasonable next move?
Support activity
Sort the choice before you choose it.
A need helps you stay safe, healthy, or ready to do something important. A want can still be valuable and fun. Neither word means “good” or “bad”. Ask: what job would this money do?
